R. Venkatachalam

Raman Venkatachalam, a reputed Pharmaceutical industry veteran and an alumnus of the Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai and Management Post Graduate, Jamanalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies (JBIMS), Mumbai, has a vast experience of four decades in the Pharmaceuticals industry. Over the last two decades he has been a Business Head / President in Indian majors such as Cipla, Ajanta Pharma, Lupin, Rallis India , Piramal, Microlabs etc.

His area of expertise include business development, acquisitions, R&D, operations, supply chain, systems and regulatory affairs, systems for standards for meeting US FDA and EU GMP guidelines and streamlining manufacturing systems. He has been responsible for developing and implementing various processes to ensure qualitative and quantitative outputs by realigning teams and making flawless structure for execution. He has converted several businesses from loss making to profit making operations by using Operational Excellence tools for cost improvement and also developing high profitable revenues from different customers across the globe. He has also developed monitoring processes for different organisations and created MIS formats, review strategies etc. He has extensive operational experience of running Pharmaceutical plants in Bangkok and Nigeria. Venkat has travelled extensively throughout the globe and well versed with Indian and Global regulatory, market and business requirements. He is a Corporate course instructor of Art of Living Foundation.
